Inverness Elks Provides Help for Hospice of Citrus County

The Inverness Elks were asked to provide a couple of cooks for a Hospice of Citrus County grief counseling day camp called "Henny's Kids". The day camp meets twice a year and provides one-on-one counseling to kids who have lost loved ones. We did better than just cooking...we purchased all the food, brought the grills, got some donations of chips – and we had a great time! The kids and counselors enjoyed our meal, and their table-banging thank you cheer made us agree to come back to do this again and again. We're cool and we're cooking and we got so excited we waved our "jazz hands"! Left to right: Inverness Leading Knight Mike Orndorff, Lorraine Whalen, and Secretary Bill Whalen.

Port St. Lucie Lodge Holds Veterans Appreciation Dinner

	Lenny Smallacombe was invited to speak about the FSEA PMC Program at the Port St. Lucie Veteran's Appreciation Dinner. After the presentation, the Elks assisted 12 families in requesting PMC'S that night and gave out several applications and information on the FSEA PMC. PSP Frank Palladini Presented Award in
Memory of Ebba Jean at the State Softball Tournament

Joe Rogers, PDDGER (left) and Phil Watercutter, PDDGER (right) presents Frank Palladini, PSP with a banner recognizing his late wife Ebba Jean Palladini along with other at the annual State Softball Tournament. Ebba Jean was also inducted into the Florida Elks State Softball Tournament Hall of Fame.

State Golf Tournament Raises $5800 for
the Florida Elks Youth Camp

The annual State Golf Tournament was held over the weekend of March 31-April 1 and raised a total of $5800 dollars in support of our Florida Elks Youth Camp. Shown in the photo above are our State President Frank Hayes and VPAL Sean Maguire presenting trophies to the Clewiston team.
