On Jan. 13, Oakland Park Elks Lodge #2407 hosted its annual children’s fishing tournament. The tournament, which has been hosted for the past six years, was funded by the $2,500 Elks National Foundation Gratitude Grant. Member Scott Slinko, local scout master, organized the event, which was held on the new Pompano Beach Pier.
