Throughout October, the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge’s Past Exalted Rulers Association took on the Peanut Butter Challenge and donated 156 jars of peanut butter, valued at $545.22. This staple is one of the most requested items in food pantries due to its nutritional value and long shelf life, making it a vital resource for families in need. These donated jars will be distributed by the county extension office to local food pantries, helping ensure that community members have access to this essential, nutrient-rich food.
